1. Bore Diameter:

Regarding standard type T, bore diameter is applied under second grade
dimension of JIS B 1001 for bolt bore diameter and the size of chamfer
is used slight-chamfering (about C0.2).

Regarding standard type U and special type which is used with a nut,
bore diameter is applied under first grade dimension of JIS B 1001 for
bolt bore diameter and the size of chamfer is used slight-chamfering
(about C0.2).

2. Finish of counter part:

The face contacting to seal washer must be finished below 10 micro-meter Rmax.

3. Temperature

Applicable temperature is different depending on the type of seal washer and the conditions used in.
Correlation between temperature and time used is shown in the chart No.1 as an example.

4. Pressure:

Applicable maximum pressure is different depending on type of seal washer and its size.

(1) Standard type I, II, III:

for static use, the maximum pressure is shown in the chart No.2 as an as example.
if the pressure is variable, it must be 0.4 times of the same in static use.

(2) Special type, used for Nut portion

This type must be used below 294kPa.
Except the above, ask us for our engineering advice.

5. Clamping Torque:

Torque for clamping is different depending on the type of seal washer and the type of bolt used.
Except using in the attached table 1- 4, ask us for our engineering advice.

6. Special type, used for Nut portion can only be used with a bolt having standard thread pitch.

CAUTION FOR STORAGE AND HANDLING  

  1. Avoid the direct sun-beam or high temperature (over 104 F) when storage.
  2. Care must be taken not to give any damage on the packing portion of seal washer, when installed.
  3. Prior to your using the seal washer in storage over two years, ask us if it can be used or not.
